Well, well, well ... a long story ... if ur interested in just the climax, jump to the last paragraph !!! ... I was a registered user of TamilMatrimony.com for over 2 years and held 2 ID M307261 and M487684 ( they were identically similar, but with different photographs and with a new registration number so that it will appear in the recent searches ) ... and have possibly gone through over 1000 profiles and short listing some 40 profiles ... this apart from similar number of profiles shortlisted through marriage brokers ... and having met face-to-face approx. 40 prospective partners ... all was going loose, and had completely lost hope of finding my dream girl. Yet I did not budge and kept trying relentlessly, so did my parents and my sister. This was my third visit to India ... and a few girls were short listed ... however after i arrived in india things werent moving smoothly to meet the short listed girls and time was running out. So I started to bug the girls whom i had contacted earlier but did not get any response ... and one such message caught the eye of a girl whom I happen to know very little abt and responded to my message ... well have to say she did'nt bother replying to my first message, and till today she maintains her innocense of not having received it ( so u must have guessed who this girl is by now ). What surprises me to date is ... I dont know what made me send a message to her for the second time, as I had very little info abt her ( age, education ) .. no name,photo, or any kind of description ... and I generally dont even bother to contact such profiles. As usual the date was fixed between our parents to meet each other face-to-face. The same day I had to meet 3 other girls ( it being a holiday 26th Jan ). The day started off meeting the first 2 girls and not being happy ( nothing different, it had become a routine over the last 2 years )... and was expecting the same result with the other 2 girls as well. We were in the 3rd girls house and she made her presence ... the very first glimpse of her and her smile said everything about her ... I felt something very strange in me ... had never felt something before ... she was indeed the girl I was waiting for !!! I made up my mind having not even spoken a word ... which is still a surprise to me ... probably this is what true love is !!! Then visited the 4th girl more as a formality and could'nt wait to get back home. On the way back home ... made my intensions clear to my parents, and realised they too did like the girl very much, and my sister remarked "...A girl should be like her !!!" Once back home, my parents immediately called up her parents and got positive response from their end aswell :-)))) Well that was it ... my dream had come true ... all hell broke loose in me ... and immediately all formalities began .. her family members visited our house ... decided on a date for our engagement 11th Feb ...got engaged and flew back to UK the same day. Our love / romance began to unfold over the telephone & internet ... and after several hundred hours of telephone calls, day and night, amidst the constant nagging of our parents and the sky high telephone bills ... and a couple of serious issues, which could have ended our relationship even before it began ( for eg... I was made redundant on 5th Apr, and was not able to find another job immediately before marriage ) ... we just hung on by the thinest of strings ... and the day finally came ... **** 17th June **** ... we were united !!! As the days passed .. so did our love deeper and deeper in our hearts ... and today we find it hard to part even to get to work each day :-))) ... we enjoy each others company and have no regrets what-so-ever !!!
